Strength for Today
Strength for the Journey
“Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not.”
Reflection
Strength for today does not always come the way we expect. Isaiah 35:3-4 promises, "Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm…" — and the Lord's strength is given in measure for the moment, not stockpiled for tomorrow. He gives manna, not warehouses. Today, ask Him for what today needs. He will not run out. The strength He gives is not always the strength to do great things; sometimes it is the strength to endure quietly, to keep loving, to keep showing up, to keep trusting. That, too, is strength of the highest order. Lean on Him. He will be your strength when you have none of your own.
Prayer
God of all power, fill me with quiet confidence today. Walk with me through every challenge. Amen.
Where do I need God's strength most today?
