Freedom in Christ

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

Reflection
Freedom is the natural air of the Christian life. Galatians 5:13 reminds us, "For, brethren, ye have been called unto…" The Spirit does not bind; He liberates. He frees us to love God, to love others, to be honest, to forgive, to forgive again. Today, ask the Spirit to free you from one thing — a fear, a resentment, a habit of mind — and trust Him to do it.

Lord Jesus, thank You for setting me free. Help me to walk today in the freedom You purchased for me. Amen.
