Scripture
“Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

Reflection
Heavenly wisdom is recognizable by its gentleness. Ecclesiastes 12:13 describes it: "Fear God, and keep his commandments: for…" Wisdom that comes from God is humble, peaceable, full of mercy. If a "wise" thought makes you proud or harsh, it is not yet wisdom. Today, ask the Lord to give you a softer, wiser heart.

Lord, make me wise in the small things, so that I may be faithful in the great. Amen.
