Reflection
Gratitude is a powerful spiritual discipline. Psalm 50:23 calls us into it: "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to…" A thankful heart sees rightly. It notices the small mercies that an anxious heart misses. Today, before you ask the Lord for anything, take a few moments to thank Him — for breath, for grace, for the people around you, for the steadiness of His love. Gratitude turns the soul toward the Giver.
Prayer
God of every good gift, awaken thankfulness in me. Open my eyes to the kindnesses I have overlooked. Amen.
