February · Day 47 of 365
Anchored in Love
The Love of God
Scripture
“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.”
— Psalm 145:8 (KJV)
Reflection
God's love is not the kind that comes and goes with our moods. Psalm 145:8 gives us a love that holds: "The Lord is gracious, and full of…" When you feel unworthy, it holds. When you feel unseen, it holds. When you feel undone, it holds. The cross is the proof that cannot be argued away — He loved you while you were still far off, and He has not stopped. Today, take your fragile, weary heart and place it carefully in the strong hands that bear the marks of love. He will not crush what He came to save. He will not weary of welcoming you home.
Prayer
Father of mercies, let Your kindness shape me today. May I receive Your love and pass it on freely. Amen.
Thought for the Day
What lie about God's love do I need to stop believing?
