The Love of God
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
Reflection
God's love is not the kind that comes and goes with our moods. 1 John 4:10 gives us a love that holds: "Herein is love, not that we loved…" When you feel unworthy, it holds. When you feel unseen, it holds. When you feel undone, it holds. The cross is the proof that cannot be argued away — He loved you while you were still far off, and He has not stopped. Today, take your fragile, weary heart and place it carefully in the strong hands that bear the marks of love. He will not crush what He came to save. He will not weary of welcoming you home.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, settle Your love into my heart today. Quiet my fears, soften my edges, and help me love others as You have loved me. Amen.
What lie about God's love do I need to stop believing?
