Held in His Love
The Love of God
“But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.”
Reflection
There is no corner of your life beyond the reach of God's love. Lamentations 3:32 insists, "But though he cause grief, yet will…" — and the Lord means every word of it. He is not distant. He is not weary of you. The same love that hung the stars holds the small details of your day. Sometimes the heart needs to be reminded slowly, until the truth sinks deeper than the noise. You are loved. You are loved. You are loved. Let the truth do its quiet work today. From this love, draw the courage to face what must be faced. From this love, find the kindness to extend to those around you. The Father's heart is bigger than your worst day and gentler than your deepest fear.
Prayer
Loving God, help me to live as one who is deeply loved. Free me from the need to prove what You have already declared. Amen.
Whom can I love today out of the love God has given me?
