Drawn by Kindness
The Love of God
Scripture
“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”
— Psalm 86:15 (KJV)
Reflection
To be deeply loved by God is the most stabilizing truth in the universe. Psalm 86:15 declares, "But thou, O Lord, art a God…" and it is meant to settle the soul. Let this truth do something today. Let it loosen the grip of comparison. Let it soften the edges of self-criticism. Let it remind you that your value was never up for negotiation. The God who knows everything about you loves you completely. Stand in that. Walk in that. Speak from that. The love of God is not a feeling to chase but a foundation to live on.
Prayer
Father, thank You for loving me beyond what I deserve. Let Your love be the deep ground beneath my day. Amen.
Thought for the Day
How can I rest in being loved before I try to do anything?
