The Love of God
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Reflection
God's love is not the kind that comes and goes with our moods. Romans 5:8 gives us a love that holds: "But God commendeth his love toward us…" When you feel unworthy, it holds. When you feel unseen, it holds. When you feel undone, it holds. The cross is the proof that cannot be argued away — He loved you while you were still far off, and He has not stopped. Today, take your fragile, weary heart and place it carefully in the strong hands that bear the marks of love. He will not crush what He came to save. He will not weary of welcoming you home.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, settle Your love into my heart today. Quiet my fears, soften my edges, and help me love others as You have loved me. Amen.
What lie about God's love do I need to stop believing?
